Removing hyperlinks from post dates in Twenty Thirteen

Hello, I haven’t found this discussed elsewhere. I am using a Child Theme based on the Twenty Thirteen theme and using WP 4.1.

The Twenty Thirteen template turns the date of your post into a hyperlink. I never have more than one post per day on my site so the feature is distracting and pointless. How can I remove the hyperlinking so the date is just normal text?
