# Removing extra fields from an attachment instance

 * Hi,
 * I was trying to remove all the extra fields (like “caption” or “title”) for my
   Attachments instance. My first attempt was to pass `null` as the value of the`
   fields` property but I get the next exception:
 * `Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in ...wp-content/plugins/attachments/
   classes/class.attachments.php on line 1400`
 * Probably I’m trying to do it the wrong way, how else can I remove all the extra
   fields?
