Removing entries from Login widget

    I don’t know if this should go in the themes section, if so feel free to move it.

    I want to remove the RSS entries in the login widget, as well as the wordpress link. They clutter up the page, I want to put them on the bottom of the page. Is that possible?
    I don’t shy away from code changes.

    Create your own widget based on the default widget and register it in a plugin. Check wp-includes/default-widgets.php for the widget code. Then remove the original widget and replace it with your own in the appearance widgets admin panel.

    You can add widgets to footers, that should locate it where you want.
