Removing embedded items from new pages and posts

Hello – I have taken over running our site as we have parted ways with our developer. I have managed to do some basics and I changed a theme. I am learning as I go.

Each new page or post automatically has some social share buttons at the bottom. they must be embedded there, they are old and badly styled and I want to change them, but I cannot seem to find where they are to change.

Can you help with some simple steps bearing in mind I am savvy, but didn’t even install wordporess on my server so I will need the idiots guide to finding files there if that’s where I need to go.
