# Removing elements from a page

 * I have successfully managed to create a child theme from wordit. But I want to
   remove the header, footer and take away the date in the middle. I’ve tried various
   things and the advice on how to achieve any of these seems very conflicting and
   nothing works. I am very new to all this and right now I feel like I’ve been 
   banging my head against a brick wall!
