Removing default "Archive and "Meta" Widgets from side bar

    Hi,

I’d like to know how to remove the default “Archive and “Meta” Widgets from side bar.

I’m not a coder as such. I just use functions from the wp dashboard so is there a way of removing these default widgets without having to do it via code change.

    Thanks

The easiest way would be to go to the Widgets area and add the widgets you want. Once added, the default Archive and Meta will disappear.

Thanks for your help Christine. I’ll try that out and see if it works.
