Removing Comments/Posted By/Catagory

    Hi,

    I have my site up and running. I’ve blocked comments, but I’d like to remove both the “no comments” and “comments closed” alerts from the site. Is there a way to do this? A plug in? Or do I have to go in and edit the themes?

    Also, I’d like remove or hide the “Posted by” as well as the “category”. Is there a simple way to do this?

    I’m pretty new at this, so if someone could give me a step-by-step walk through I would really appreciate it.

    what theme are you using? usually, the theme template files that would need some edits
    – Comments: comments.php file
    – “Posted by” and “Category”: delete tags in index.php, single.php, sometimes in archive.php and category.php, then in home.php if you have it there.

    I’m using “Mandigo theme by tom.”

    Any idea what tags I should take out?

    Also, when I delete or change the code, it doesn’t seem to save changes even though I hit update.
