Removing comment icons?

I’m trying to get rid of the small comment icon and number at the bottom of the post.

Any ideas? I’ve already deleted most of the CSS with the word “comment” in it. I know this isn’t the best idea, but I don’t want comments on the blog.

Also, The background colour doesn’t seem to match the demo http://stachethemes.com/demos/wordit/ , but from what I can understand (which isn’t much), it’s the same colour code in my CSS code?

I’m stuck.
