Removing classes from functions?

  • Hi there, it is possible to remove a class from the functions?

    I added this:

    function remove_cboxElement( $classes ) {
    	$classes = array_diff($classes, array('cboxElement'));
    	return $classes;
    }

    But is not working, and in 2 or 3 spots in the website I got links like this:

    <a href="LINK URL" <strong>class="cboxElement"</strong>>TEXT TO BE LINKED</a>

    The thing is, I don’t know where is that class coming from, and because it is happening only in 2 or 3 spots I need it removed, this is a site that I inherited with all the worst coding practices, so instead to be re-writting everything if I can find a way to remove that class that should be great, weird thing is, if I check the source code in the browser that class is not there, if I check the link element using for example, firebug the thing is there, any idea?

    Thanks!
