Hello! I am new to CSS and have been struggling to remove the border around my sidebar.

Hi there,
This should do the trick for you:
.sidebar-widget-area { border: none; }
You can paste this code in your child theme’s style.css or in a custom css plugin such as Simple Custom CSS.
