• Hi,

I am now using custom taxonomies to organise my posts, and therefore no longer have any need for categories and tags, as I have more appropriate means of arranging things. However, I still have an ugly ‘Categories: Uncategorized’ at the bottom of every post. Is there any way to remove this entirely? Which file(s) would I need to edit?

Many thanks to anyone who can help with this!

  • Depending on your theme, you may need to modify several files. If the categories lines are placed in a unique class, one change in the CSS file to ‘display: none;’ could take care of it. Otherwise, you probably need to change index.php, archive.php, single.php, and page.php. It all depends on your theme.
