[resolved] Removing a 'Theme Colour Overlay' (3 posts)

    Hey guys,

    I purchased a theme from Theme Forest and I have been able to make adjustments for most of what I'm wanting to play with but I'm stuck with how to remove either the 'Black or White' colour overlay from the site.

    At the moment, I have my background image set, it loads and then a black overlay covers up the background image.

    I have found the following line of CSS in Firebug, adding an image to the "background-image: none;" gives me an image but I can't actually find anything like this in the CSS.

    body.home #supersized_overlay, body.page-template-template-gallery-f-php #supersized_overlay, body.page-template-template-gallery-flow-php #supersized_overlay, body.page-template-template-gallery-carousel-php #supersized_overlay, body.single-gallery #supersized_overlay {
    background-attachment: scroll;
    background-clip: border-box;
    background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);
    background-image: none;
    background-origin: padding-box;
    background-position: 0 0;
    background-repeat: repeat;
    background-size: auto auto;

    Does anyone have any ideas of how to get around this?

    Install this Custom CSS Manager plugin http://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-css-manager-plugin

    Then use its "CSS Code" section of the dashboard to hold your CSS modifications.

    Can't you consult the people who sold you the theme?

    It worked! Thank you so much!

    I was having issues still because the code over-ruling the background image is in several parts of the CSS but I have sorted it.

    In answer to your question, the developer of the app still hasn't answered my question as to why my footer is floating on pages without much content which I posted like 4 months ago, lol.. so I haven't had much hope for a response for this problem. haha.

    Thanks again.
