[Resolved] removed pubsubhubbub client

  • Hi – what does removed pubsubhubbub client in your changelog mean… I saw your recent support ticket: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/cant-seem-to-get-it-working-1 and since reading it I have wondered if I am using this plugin incorrectly? I did not do any “setting up”… I just installed the plugin. Do we need a second plugin to work with this plugin? My purpose for using your plugin was it alerts the search engines more quickly to an update on my site because the search engines trawl the hubs sites. But perhaps the plugin is currently not actually doing anything! Like I said I did not “set anything up”… Thanks!

    Hey,

the plugin works like you expected it to work! It pings the hubs, every time you post a new blog-entry or someone writes a comment. You don’t have to configure anything, except you like to add a new hub you want to ping.

what does removed pubsubhubbub client in your changelog mean

I added an experimental pubsubhubbub client, to be able to subscribe to pubsubhubbub enabled feeds. But the implementation was very poor and no one really used it, so i removed it.
