    Hello,
    I deactivated and then removed the plugin.
    But now the fonts I used with the plugin are still showing on the wite and I’m unable to remove them.
    Any help with this would be appreciated.

    GThanks,
    Wim

  • Sorry, “on the wite” should of course be “on the site”.

    Hi @datapanik,

    If fonts added by the plugin are still being loaded after the plugin is disabled it must be due to caching on some level. This could be browser caching, WordPress-level caching or server-level caching.

    If you’d like to provide a URL I’d be happy to take a look.

    Would be great if you could have a look.
    Url is http://www.in-vorm.org
    It certainly isn’t browser caching since they load on Firefox, Chromium and Safari as well.
    Would be nice to get this solved.
    Thanks

    Hi @datapanik,

    The only fonts being loaded are from twentysixteen:

    <link rel='stylesheet' id='twentysixteen-fonts-css' href='https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Merriweather%3A400%2C700%2C900%2C400italic%2C700italic%2C900italic%7CMontserrat%3A400%2C700%7CInconsolata%3A400&subset=latin%2Clatin-ext' type='text/css' media='all' />

    If you wanted to remove those you could use this plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/disable-remove-google-fonts/

    Let me know if I can help with anything else.

    Thanks!

    Perhaps I’m getting this wrong, but when I use the inspector tool in Firefox or Chromium I get the Poppins font being loaded. Which I tested out with the plugin and certainly isn’t loaded by the theme.

    <span style="font-family: Poppins; font-size: 10pt;">

    You do have those inline styles. However, they are not generated by this plugin.

    Also, if Poppins is not loaded (which it isn’t) then that code will be ignored by the browser.

    Switching the editor to HTML view will allow you to see where that code is added – https://www.bizmavens.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/HTML-Editor-View.jpg
