Remove White Bar from Custom Menu & Facebook social box

Dear WordPress community,

I am preparing my website and I am facing two problems. I added the custom menu widget but now there is a white bar on its right-hand side. How do I remove this annoying and pointless right bar?

At the same time, if you look on the right-hand side, you will see my Facebook box. If you pay attention, you will notice that the left side of the box is a bit out of its normal, designated area in the bar. How can I move it to the right a bit?

Pretty sure that I am not the only one that is facing those two situations but I couldn’t find my answer anywhere else.
