Remove weekends from events that span weeks

I’ve searched for a solution but no one appears to have asked this question or asked for this feature.

We have events that last for weeks, but since we are a school district these events don’t happen on Saturdays and Sundays.

Is there any way to have a single event span a 2-3 week period but to remove weekends from the event span?
