Support » Plugin: Asset CleanUp: Page Speed Booster » Remove unused JavaScript

  • Hi Gabe,

Many thanks for continuing to provide a free version of your excellent plug-in for those of us who are just running hobby blogs, rather than businesses. It is much appreciated.

With a combination of Asset Cleanup, ShortPixel, and Litespeed Cache (and the associated Quic.Cloud CDN) I have got my Home page loading time well under 1 second. https://gtmetrix.com/reports/richiesroom.com/3RvXKEzz/

One thing that continues to pop-up on both GTMetrix and Google PSI is the ‘Remove unused JavaScript’ suggestion. The item in question is jquery.min.js?ver=3.5.1

When I look in Asset Cleanup it shows this item under the ‘WordPress Core’ section together with a warning. I’m confused – Is it safe to remove this? If not, why do both of those sites continue to make the recommendation?

    Thanks,
    Richie
