# Remove Trailing Slashes

 * I have a need to remove all trailing slashes from URI. I know there is a mod 
   rewrite to add a slash, but what is it to remove it? I’ve searched high and low,
   and haven’t found anything. Thanks in advance!

 * Is it even possible to do it without hacking the WordPress core?

 * I seriously doubt this is possible with a quick hack. An external redirect will
   cause the rule list to be processed again and I can’t see a way to avoid loops.
   This might be possible by making some changes somewhere in the WP code, but I’m
   not sure…
