    H there,

    I am running the Stack theme by Designer Themes. I want to remove the words 'Stack Theme by DesignerThemes.com' from the footer. I don't know how. Any suggestions?

    i made a childtheme and copied the footer.php
    i modified to this:

     * The template for displaying the footer
     * Contains footer content and the closing of the #main and #page div elements.
     * @package WordPress
     * @subpackage Twenty_Thirteen
     * @since Twenty Thirteen 1.0
    		</div><!-- #main -->
    		<footer id="colophon" class="site-footer" role="contentinfo">
    			<?php get_sidebar( 'main' ); ?>
    			<div class="site-info">
    			<p align="center"> Copyright © 2014 Your Custom Footer
    			</div><!-- .site-info -->
    		</footer><!-- #colophon -->
    	</div><!-- #page -->
    	<?php wp_footer(); ?>

    Hi thanks for the reply. Sorry I'm pretty clueless around this stuff, should I copy that in to my site somewhere?

    Hey, I'll jump in here - I just found the answer to this today (forgot where):

    You don't even have to use a child theme...

    ---"Just add this to your Custom CSS box in the theme options panel:

    .credit { display: none; }
