# remove textarea

 * Hi, I’ve created a custom page and I’d like to know how to remove content textarea
   from admin edit page, but only for this particular template.

 * A link would help, and an explanation of what you mean by “textarea”. To me, 
   a textarea is a multi-line text input box form element. I take it you’re referring,
   rather, to an area on your page…

 * By textarea I meant the Rich Text Editor for the main content of the page.

 * Oh got you. Sorry I misread your first post.
 * I’ve no idea how you might do that. I leave the admin pages strictly alone, sorry.
 * Presumably you don’t want your users to edit pages of this type…
 * Perhaps if you created a plugin, rather than a custom page type? Something like
   contact form plugins where the page just consists of a short code. Which would
   be a further clue not to edit the page.
 * Or just make sure that the users you give publishing rights to know exactly how
   they should behave in this respect. That way editors who ignored all exhortations
   not to change these types of pages could edit the page, but nobody would publish
   the changes.
