    When you add an image to your slideshow, ensure the Caption and Link fields are empty. You can do this for existing images too!

    I am also trying to do this and where you used to be able to edit the linking of images in a post, you don’t seem to be able to now???

    Does anyone know an easy way to remove the link back to the post from the slider image?

    You can, either by selecting the image as it sits in the Text Area and choosing the ‘edit’ icon displayed over the image. You can also remove links from the ‘Add Media’ button located above the text area. If you select the image you would like to edit, and in the right column remove the Caption and Link data.

    I have followed the instructions and clicking on the images still links to the post – a blank page with post details.

    I just need a static, home page image that doesn’t link to anything….any suggestions.

    (Firebug is showing the title ‘link’ is still active although I haven’t inserted a title.)

    Same thing for me. I dont find the Caption and Link data.

    Hi to all,

    To remove text and link from the slideshow follow the instruction below:
    Go to Appearance -> Theme Option -> Design Option Tab -> Custom CSS and paste the following CSS code:

    .featured-text {
        display: none;

    Now, Click on Save All Changes Button and Refresh your browser.

    Thank you !

    The text is now remove 🙂 but we still can click on the picture. Is it possible to remove the link to the post and just see the picture in the slideshow?

    Thank you
