Remove Taxonomy from URL | WordPress.org

Hi,
I have a website where I can do a research.
However, I get URL like: https://mywebsite/citycar/?color_car=red.
I need to remove “color_car” to get URL like: https://mywebsite/citycar/red

How Can i do that?

I try to follow this post, but I can’t adapt this code for my website: https://rudrastyh.com/wordpress/remove-taxonomy-slug-from-urls.html

I also use Yoast SEO and I select “Remove” for “URL Category” in “YOAST SEO > Appearance of Research > Taxonomy” but nothing…

Have you tried Settings —> Permlink Settings

This will be on the left side of your dashboard under tools.

My permalink is with /%postname%/, but nothing.
Also, I have tried with:
– RedirectMatch 301 ^/<category>/(.*)$ https://www.mywebsite.com/$1
– RedirectMatch 301 ^/([^/]+)/$ https://www.mywebsite.com/$1
Nothing…
Also, I have a problem if I do a research with two parameters because I got URL like:
https://www.mywebsite.com/search/?taxonomy1_name=test&?taxonomy2_name=something.
I need to have https://www.mywebsite.com/search/test/something.
It is very important for me to remove “?taxonomy_name” from all URL.
If I try to visit https://www.mywebsite.com/search/test/something, I get 404 error.
It is very important to resolve this

Have you tried searching for a plugin that will do what you want.

It sounds like you want better control of your permalinks.

For example, you could try the keyword — “permalinks” — and then check out the plugins listed.
