I’m trying to remove the tax on an existing order as the customer is exempt. When I put 0.00 in the tax box in the order and resave it just puts the tax back as it was.

Is there a way around this or do I have to create a new order?

    Hello

That doesn’t change the amount of tax on the order, which is what is required.

    Hi RuthVant,

Be sure that instead of entering 0.00 in the order, you’re actually typing in the amount of tax in the refund box. Here’s a screenshot showing what I’d type in for an order:

Note, I didn’t type anything into the Refund Amount box – that populated automatically as I entered in the tax amounts to the boxes below the item tax and the shipping tax.

Here is what it looks like once I hit Refund Manually:

It removes both the shipping tax and the item tax and displays the new total.

Is there a different place where you are looking to do this?

    Cheers!
