I’m using WordPress for a website, not a blog, and the Responsive theme. My right sidebar has the meta widget with:

    Entries RSS
    Comments RSS

I would like to have ONLY the “Entries RSS” showing and remove the rest. I have searched this site and see multiple suggestions for editing the ‘sidebar.php’ file. Well, there are 13 various ‘sidebar.php’s’ and I’ve looked through them all and can find NO mention of what I want to remove.

If that is not possible, then I would remove the widget entirely if I can figure out how to put up another widget with only the Entries RSS on it.

You could just dump the meta widget altogether and use a link or text widget with only the link to your feed, which is probably something like

Thank you for the response, Bill!

Ok, I tried a couple of different things. I removed the meta widget completely and tried a text widget. That didn’t get my link displayed. So while looking around, I actually found a RSS widget… DOH!

But I’m not sure what to put IN it. If I click on the ‘Entries RSS’ using the meta widget, I find the url is

When I put that url into the RSS widget, I get the “Hello World” post, which has long been deleted, in the sidebar.

What I am trying to accomplish is this: Whenever there is ANY change, not just a post but ANY change to the website, it will go out on the RSS feed.

    Is that possible?

Kindly insert a text widget with the text below

    <a href="">Entries RSS</a>

let me know if that works.

Thanks, Greyparrots! That worked!!!! I wasn’t aware that code could be entered in a text widget. I even added a little something to it:

    <a title="Syndicate this site using RSS 2.0" href="">Entries RSS</a>

    Thanks so much!
