Remove slider from Posts page & reduce padding above the title of pages

    I have two questions:

    1) Right now I am using the static front page and my slider appears on both my home page and my posts page. I want the slider to appear only on the home page. How do I do this? (Note: I found the option to “Exclude Slider post from Homepage posts” under Appearance > Featured Post/Page Slider > Featured Post/Page Slider Options. However this doesn’t appear to do anything.)

    2) I am trying to figure out how to reduce the padding above the title of a page so that it is closer to my menu. Any ideas how I would do this?

    I found my answer to question 2, but I still need help with question 1. For those interested, the solution to question 2 is to add this to custom CSS:

    #main {
    padding-top: 60px;
    }

    Note: 60px is the original padding, by changing this number it will adjust the padding.

    Your question/answer 2 solve one of my problem.
    I want a photo with the title and the slogan in the front page and I do not want it on the other page . How I can have a different presentation from the front page?
