Remove site-title h1 tag from pages

    HI, When I did a detailed analysis of my ‘self domain site’ hosted on WP, I found that all of my H1 tags were duplicate. Reason was that WP was picking my site title as an H1 instead of the page titles. I want my site title to be only displayed on the home page. I don’t want the h1 site title displayed on every other page.

    Pls help me how to do this.. I don’t have Child theme installed. Pl help

    @kharisblank, so updating, I have inserted header.php with modifications in child theme & now I am not getting Duplicate H1’s. Thank you so much.

    BUT, now I’am getting “DUPLICATE H2’s . I have captioned the 1st heading at the beginning of any posts paragraph under Heading2. Pls suggest what to do here now?

    Hello there,

    I am sorry for the delay.

    Viewing the source code of your site, it’s showing that the child theme isn’t active yet. Please visit Appearance > Themes in your site dashboard, and then activate your child theme.

    Hi Kharis,
    I cannot share SS (no option here), but as checked, Sydney child is already activated. it is clearly reflecting as Active: Sydney child

    To attach an image screenshot, upload it to the file hosting service like https://cloudup.com/, and then share its public link here.

    As you enable site logo, the default site title H1 tag is replaced. The additional code doesn’t work anymore. Now your homepage doesn’t contain any H1 tag.

    HI @kharisblank, That’s what, my H1 issue stands resolved. But now I am getting duplicate H2’s. How to resolve that? Do I need some H2 changes in header.php?

    @kharisblank, I need a different H2 for every post & that is how it should be. When i audited my site with screaming frog, I got duplicate H2’s on all pages. I need to know how to rectify that. Does that also needs some change in piece of coding in header.php file of child theme?

    @kharisblank, hi you just help me out to eliminate duplicate H2’s please. What is required for that?
    Do I start my posts headings with H2 or H1
    or Should I make some code modificatons in Header.pp file in child theme..

    I’m really not getting concrete solution of this duplicate H2 issue.

    Hi, if you want you can install the same from
    https://www.screamingfrog.co.uk/seo-spider/
    It is one of the best seo audit tool.

    Once installed you can input any website & here mine in the url tab & begin the audit option. Once done you can check on the right bars for duplicate H2’s & you’ll get them.
