  • Hi Tamunomiete,

    thanks for using MH Magazine lite.

    You can hide the site title and tagline on your site with the option in your WordPress dashboard under Appearance => Customize => Site Identity.

    I know that procedure. Is there no other way to go about this? Like using CSS or something.

    Because I use two themes on my blog. One for PC and MH for mobile.

    Will be grateful if you can give a code or CSS to add.

    Thanks

    Sorry, it wasn’t clear from your question that you already know how to disable it. Why would you want to hide it with code if there is an option for this?

    Because I use two themes. Anything I want to modify on the second which is MH magazine must be done using HTML, php and CSS codes.

    Am using a theme switcher so there’s no option to customizer.

    My explanation might not be clear but if there’s a way around it just drop it.

    Yeah, indeed it’s a bit confusing as the approach seems to be unusual. 🙂

    However, if you want to hide the site title and tagline with CSS, you could add:

    .mh-header-text { display: none; }

    You can add CSS code in your WordPress dashboard under Appearance => Customize => Additional CSS.

    Thanks it worked just the white space is still there

    If you want to apply CSS modifications, you can always use your browsers inspection tool to inspect the elements on your site and then use that information to add your own code modifications.

    For example if you want to completely hide the header including the white space, you could add:

    .mh-custom-header { display: none; }

    Nope I don’t want to completely remove the header. I will add a few ads and links there.

    Thanks for the support. I will use firebug, if I find anything on removing the white space. Would report back.

    Regards

    If you want to remove the site title / tagline including the white space, you could do it like this:

    .mh-site-logo { display: none; }

    Thanks for your great support>.. It worked like a charm but i need few more support.

    The header text and tagline is gone and white space too but i also want the name of pages out.

    The name of each of my page is under the header menu and i want them out

    secondly, i want to remove sidebars from all pages. i need my blog to be full width; if this is possible, please show me how go around it..

    Thanks alot for your support so far.

    I also would love to remove Website and Email boxes in the comment field. so users can comment without entering email and website before leaving a comment.

    Thanks again

    It worked like a charm but i need few more support.

    You’re welcome, but please keep in mind that this is a free support forum on a voluntary basis. While we’re more than happy to provide free support and answer questions about the configuration and usage of the theme, we’re not here to do free code modifications for you.

    As mentioned, when it comes to CSS modifications, you can always use your browsers inspection tool to inspect the elements on your site and then use that information to add your own code modifications.

    We’ll provide a few lines of code one more time, but if you need more, then please use the inspection tool. If you’re not familiar with coding, then you may want to consider hiring a developer who can do custom work for you.

    The name of each of my page is under the header menu and i want them out

    Hiding page titles is very unusual. However, you could do it like so:

    .page-title { display: none; }

    secondly, i want to remove sidebars from all pages. i need my blog to be full width; if this is possible, please show me how go around it..

    For pages you could just use the Full-Width page template and otherwise hide the sidebar with some CSS:

    .mh-sidebar { display: none; }
    .mh-content { width: 100% !important; }

    I also would love to remove Website and Email boxes in the comment field.

    If you’re familiar with coding, then you could code a custom child theme and modify the function mh_magazine_lite_comment_fields() based on your personal needs and requirements.

    By the way, if you have any other questions about the usage or configuration of the theme, please always open a new thread. Posting unrelated stuff in this thread can be very confusing for other people who are looking for help, thanks.

    Thank you. I know its a free support forum. i will not ask any more questions for now.

    Thanks again.

    You’re very welcome and good luck with your website.

    Thanks. i will not fail to recommend your theme to others.
