Super Socializer
[resolved] Remove sharing buttons from select Forums (6 posts)

I have buddypress and bbpress installed. I also have nested (child) forums. In a situation where there are three child forums displayed on one page, I want to NOT have the social sharing buttons. They are cluttering the page, and we actually don't want users in this particular (hidden) forum sharing the posts anyway.

Is there a way to disable the buttons?

I have social sharing enabled for pages, posts, and home page (have tried disabling it for pages, no effect). When I'm on the forum admin page, there is no way to disable social sharing for the forum. The widget is not enabled anywhere. I can't find it in a template (...don't recall creating one....but maybe I did?).

Any way to disable it for the forum description, but keep it available on individual posts?

    Hi,
    Try disabling sharing on excerpts.

It's already disabled on excerpts. Only enabled for posts, pages and homepage. Any other ideas?

    Replace existing "wp-content/plugins/super-socializer/inc/social_sharing.php" with following:

Thanks for your help, the solution you sent via email is working great.

For the record, the above (linked) solution worked perfectly. The additional solution sent via email was a solution to a more complex customization issue. Thanks.
