Does anyone know how to remove the RSS links that appear after the categories on the archives page? My page currently looks like:

    Archives by Category
    Academic Writing (RSS) (2)
    Blogging (RSS) (4)
    Community Management (RSS) (3)
    Content Strategy (RSS) (9)
SEO, Link Building and Content Marketing (RSS) (3)
    Editing (RSS) (9)
    Journalism (RSS) (9)
    Leadership (RSS) (3)
    Marketing (RSS) (5)
    Advertorial (RSS) (2)
Press Releases & Public Relations (RSS) (2)
    White Papers (RSS) (1)
    New Media (RSS) (9)
Content Management & Web Editing (RSS) (3)
    Email Newsletters (RSS) (2)
    Layout & Desgin (RSS) (3)
Video Production and Editing (RSS) (1)
    Public Speaking (RSS) (1)
    PowerPoint Presentations (RSS) (1)

I like the number count that appears after each, but not the RSS links. My blog is a professional portfolio, so people are not likely to subscribe to categories and the links are cluttering up my archives page. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

You would probably get much quicker responses to questions on the thematictheme.com/forums, much more activity. 🙂

@kzaremba are you still having trouble?

@gene–I tried scottnix’s suggestion, but I must not understand where to add the code, because no matter where I placed it, it didn’t change anything. I tried adding it to both the stylesheet.css and archives.php files, but like I said, I saw no changes. I think I must just be adding it to the wrong spot 🙁

Any more suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. I will post on the Thematic forum too, as scottnix mentioned.

I tested Scott’s code just now and it works great to remove the RSS links using the archives template in a Thematic child theme.

Are you using a child theme?

You should be placing the code Scott shared in your child theme’s functions.php

Ah–thanks so much, that worked! I was just putting the code in the wrong file! I’m a newbie when it comes to CSS. Thanks again @gene and @scottnix 🙂

Right on. I’m glad it all worked out for you.

It’d be awesome if you have the time to give Thematic a review to let us know what your experience with the theme has been like.
