Remove RIGHT sidebar (secondary content sidebar) from PAGES

I’m just playing around with the Twenty Fourteen theme, and I’ve searched here and via Google for something I thought would be simple, so now I’m on a mission to figure out what I’m doing wrong! 🙂

How do I remove the RIGHT sidebar (secondary content sidebar) from PAGES but leave it on the front page where my newest posts appear?

I tried removing the get_sidebar line from the stylesheet for Page Template (page.php), and that removes the sidebar *content* but still leaves a BIG open space where the sidebar had been — instead of letting the page content use all of that space like I would want.

What am I doing wrong? 🙂
