  • This should be an easy answer, but I can’t find it. Is there an easy way to prevent a child theme from inheriting @media rules from its parent theme without touching the parent theme’s CSS files?

I am using twentyeleven as a parent theme, but I don’t want to have to make changes to the twentyeleven’s CSS files to prevent my child theme from inheriting some of the responsiveness.

  • You don’t stop it. You add CSS to the child theme to over-write it.

Thanks for the reply. So if I want, for example, nothing to happen at a certain max-width point defined in the parent theme, I have to hunt down the original values for all two dozen selectors and set them back?
