I have been able to customize/hide everything on the Admin menu, except the link to “Profile”. I’d like to hide this for all users so they can’t edit their profile. Is this possible? Maybe I’m just missing it somewhere because it seems like I’m able to customize everything else? Thanks in advance!

  • This should be possible to do as well in admin menu manager. Please double check that in AGCA -> Admin Menu tab because admin menu manager is mirroring the real admin menu.

I was able to make it work – on the AGCA Admin menu tab, I hid the entire Admin menu. Then I created custom links in the Admin Menu Items section for the 3 items I want my users to have access to. I have the AGCA customizations turned off for the administrator (on the General tab) so the Administrator still sees the full Admin Menu.

This works for what I need – the only downside is that the Custom Links I created don’t have the little icons that you see to the left of the menu item name on the original Admin menu. Not the end of the world, but they look kind of bare without the icons.

I’m still working on the icons… I’ll post a separate thread for that…

Is it possible to hide it without hiding whole menu and creating custom links?

If you see it in AGCA -> Admin Menu tab, you can just check the option to hide it.

Version 5.6 has now additional option on Admin menu page that can be used to hide Profile button from non-administrators
