Don’t edit the Twenty Ten theme! Your changes will be over-written the next time you upgrade WordPress or the theme. For this reason, it is recommended that you consider creating a child theme for your customisations.

Thanks for pointing that out, but I have already created a child theme. So how do I remove the primary and secondary sidebar (in my child theme)?

Remove the call to get_sidebar() in the child’s template files.

Thanks! How do I shrink the layout to make it as in my example? Now it’s an empty field where the sidebar used to be.

I assume I have to shrink the picture in the header as well as the menu and the borders in both top and bottom. How do I do this?

How do I do if I instead want to expand the pages, entries and comments so they use the sidebar-area?

I figured out how to shrink the layout (the wrapper) but I don’t understand how I shrink the picture in the header and the menu. I also want to expand the text on pages, in entries and comments. Now the text is very short as you can see.

I’m very thankful for all the help.

I don’t seem to be able to reach your site at the moment.

What happen when you visit my homepage?

Luckily, I have made almost all the changes myself. The only two things I can’t figure out is the text and the space between the text and the wrapp.

The text now reach about 60 % of the free space, I want to expand the text so it look like it did when I had a sidebar. After that, I also want to shrink the space between the text and header and the sides (so it lies closer to the wrapp’s edges).

I hope I make myself clear. Ask if something sounds crazy and if you still can’t reach my homepage.

The site simply wouldn’t load. However, it seems fine now.

Looks like the design is progressing quite nicely. 🙂

Yes, I couldn’t reach my website either so I contacted support. Turned out to be a problem with my database server but which now have been fixed.

Thanks so much for the encouraging words. I finally solved all my problems. A touch of stubbornness and a little patience and you can solve the most things yourself.

Thank you very much for your help. My blog is now finished. Only need to delete all auto-text and replace it with real text (and images).

It’s a swedish blog meant for swedish people to read. But just for fun, I put a link in the menu who open the blog in english (Google’s Translator).
