Support » Fixing WordPress » Remove pagination from homepage and category pages

  • I added page breaks in one long post I have. However, now the page numbers for the post display on the homepage and category pages of my website. Is there any way to remove that, while retaining the page breaks in the post?

    I’ve tried a couple of pagination plugins, and while they removed the pagination off my homepage, they removed the pagination on the post itself, so that only the first page of the post was available. I’ve also attempted a couple of code fixes I’ve found online to my functions.php, but those ended up “breaking” the theme and resulted in me having to contact my hosting provider in order to regain any access to the website and WordPress back end.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

  • I managed to figure it out with a little help (and after a slow response) from the page designer.

    I simply added this CSS coding to my site’s stylesheet:

    .category .entry-pagination {
    	display: none;
    }

    .home .entry-pagination {
    	display: none;
    }
