When you type http://www.mysite.com or http://www.mysite.com/PAGE2 or /PAGE3 and so on, appears my home page but keeps in the url /page2, page3, etc and myhome page is not paginated. Anyway it happens in every page of my ste and many sites made with WordPress.

Although I know that is not duplicate content for Google Search, I want to know what must I do for when you type page2 etc, it disappear from the url and keep only the canonical or it can give an 404 error.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • WordPress is dutifully trying to present what you asked for and that is the solution it knows best.

You could add rewrite rules to your htaccess if there’s an Apache box behind that Nginx server I see.

This site will help you create those https://www.rapidtables.com/web/tools/redirect-generator.html.

But I’d probably just leave that be as there is probably no published links to draw the Search Engines to those bogus URLs and leaving it that way is safer in that a valid URL won’t be clobbered by an errant redirect.

@jnashhawkins Thanks for your answer and it is ok. Now I´d like to know how can edit my topic so can delete the url of my website so as the topic is answered, I´d prefer not showing it. Thanks

It’s not possible so I can’t tell you how to do that

Ok I understand. So, tell me please where must I ask or what must I do to delete my account from WORDPRESS.COM and all the posts I have written, or answered and all my data.

    Thanks

We don’t do that @jorgedevillalba , you can ask but your ask will be rejected. The point of the forums is to provide solutions to problems and build up a knowledge base for future readers (and not delete that information when a solution is found). Your website is only available to logged in users and is not open to Search Engines if that’s where your concern is.

A website is public domain. This is not what we’d consider sensitive information or a security concern and not something a moderation team will be concerned about.

Contact us on Slack if you need further clarification, under the #forums channel: http://wordpress.slack.com

I understand too and as I like to contribute as much as I can with the community, I think that is a pity to loose the content but I insist, covered by the rights that GDPR gives me, I ask The Forum or to delete this last topic of mine or delete my account, as I do not want that something I want not to show, continues appearing on it.

I promise will post again the same topic and me to myself will reply with the anser you sent me, as I am sure it hwlps to the comunity.

    Thanks

A URL is not personal data and does not fall under the umbrella of the GDPR.
