[Resolved] Remove Page Title

  • Hello! I’d like to remove the page title from certain pages. For example, on the home page of my site, below the featured post slider is the word “Home”, which is this page’s title. I’d like to remove it from this page only. I’ve done this with other themes, but it seems to be a theme-specific maneuver. Any ideas??

    The site has an Under Construction landing page – to get around it and view, go to:
    http://laddcomm.com/wp-admin
    Testing
    laddcommtest

    Thanks!!

  • seems like its theme specific..

    Thanks TJMarsh – that’s what I was afraid of 🙁
    Fingers crossed one of the developers will see this post (I’ve also emailed them but have not heard back yet).

    @leeannw,
    Try this technique:

    – Open your webpage in Google Chrome.
    – Right click anywhere on the webpage.
    – Select ‘Inspect element’.
    – Click in the toolbar and press CTRL + F.
    – Search for ‘<body’.
    – Look at the classes assigned to the <body> element. There should be a unique class to that particular page. You can use that unique class (page-id-(n) or home) to identify styles; applying styles only to that page.

    E.g you can construct this CSS;

    .home #content .entry-header {
     position: absolute;
     left: -9999em;
    }

    Once again Andrew – you are my hero! I didn’t even need to change your code – it works like a dream.
    Thanks!!

    Yeah Leeanw…Andrew’s CSS was never thought working by me but when I used it…I was :O

    Thanks Andrew!
