    I want to know how to remove the posts title from displaying. Can someone please help?

    I can removed page titles by inserting the following code in my style.css under content:
    .page .entry-title {
    display: none;
    }

    but this does not work for posts. I have also tried replacing .page to .post but this does not work.

    Hi saifurv, can you provide a link of your website so I can have a look at the code?

    Hi Rick

    Thanks for your reply.

    I have posts in my slider, how do I hide posts title from showing in the slider? Title doesn't show in post but does in slider. Website mbss.org.uk/Wordpress

    No worries ;-)

    You can try by adding this into your Custom CSS or Child Theme style.css so that way you won’t lose all the changes made when the theme updates.

    .slider_post h2 {
    display: none;
    }

    Let me know if it works!

    Ok try with adding !important to the declaration...

    .slider_post h2 {
    display: none !important;
    }

    Excellent!

    That did the trick. Thank you Rick. Much appreciated.

    Can I ask you 1 question re child theme?

    The only css change i have made to the theme is the following in style.css

    .slider_post h2 {
    display: none !important;
    }
    .page .entry-title {
    display: none;
    }

    And edited the footer.php

    I didn't make a child at the beginning so is it to late to make it now? and am i write in saying that the only file i would need in my child theme is style.css with only my additions (as above)? And should i just copy the entire footer.php?

    Apologies, i'm pretty new to wordpress and not clear on making child themes.

    Thank you for you assistance once again.

    Well I'm glad it worked!

    About the Child Theme...it's never too late! :-)
    If you want to know more about Child Themes click here.
    As you said you just need the style.css file and that's it. If you want to modify your footer you can copy the original file from the main theme folder and just paste it in your child theme's folder, it's pretty easy.

    If you need any other help, please feel free to ask!

    Thanks Saifur
