As I understand, the original (big size) images are still stored on the site. I understand this is for a fall back option. However is there a way to discard the original image after it’s optimised. I don’t need them taking space on my storage.

    Hi @astralex

Yes, you can do this by unchecking the backup option in Imagify Settings. That way, Imagify will not keep the backup of original file.

Please have in mind that, if you add a very large image (larger than 2560px in width/height), WordPress itself will resize it to 2560px, but keep the original image on the server.

What you can do is to use Disable Big Image Treshold plugin to stop resizing images this way and use Imagify’s Resize feature (to set the width to resize larger images to).

Let me know if you need any further assistance, I am happy to help.

    Best Regards
    Marko
