Hey Przemek!
I appreciate your feedback on this issue!
You should only receive that notice if you have not set a page to the “blog” setting – and it should only show up on that options-reading.php page. If you set the “blog” option on that settings page this notice should go away.
While it’s not technically needed, WordPress core expects any site with a static homepage to also have a page set aside to act as a blog. The intent of this warning is to reinforce the expected core behavior. Perhaps I should update the text to clarify that further…
The only other notice with this plugin occurs if you don’t have a homepage, because the homepage redirects won’t work, a different warning appearing on the plugins page as well as on the Reading settings page.
Let me know if you’re experiencing something different or if setting a blog page does not resolve the issue.
Thanks,
Joshua
OK, I understand.
Simply, when I see this warning I feel being expected to do something even if I don’t need.
Hey there! Version 0.4.9 changes the behavior of this notice, and you should only see admin notices if the homepage is not set or if the blog and homepage are set to the same page.
