• Hi,
I’m trying to use posts (in stead of pages because editing pages makes the backend of my website very slow) but to give them the same look as the pages i want to remove the navigation – text and arrows – above all posts.
I’ve tried a lot of codes in my style.css but no luck so far.

    Thanks in advance!

Pages in WP are simply a special type of post– one without the navigation arrows and the date structure. Sounds like you are trying to reinvent pages.

But if you want to remove things like the navigation, etc. you will need to start tweaking the template files of your theme. Be sure to create a child theme first, so you don’t lose your work.

Thanks Bet. Yes, i know i’m reinventing pages, but right now i have no choice because i can’t solve the problem of a very slow backend when i’m using pages. I don’t need a child theme, because i have my own theme (Artisteer) without updates.

I’ve removed a piece of code in single.php to get rid of the post navigation. And well certainly i will lose the page structure using posts, but if i want i could do something with slug.

As i’ve mentioned the admin of my site is very slow, i believe because of the big ammount of pages. I have read and started discussions but still no solution. I believe the problem has to do with the WP function get_pages.

    Cheers.
