# Remove navigation menu from static page

 * I have created a static page and I can’t figure out how to remove the navigation
   menu. My static page has a disclaimer a visitor must read and agree or disagree
   to before they enter. The only problem is my “about me”, “blog”, etc buttons 
   in the navigation menu still appear on this page, so a visitor could just click
   on one of these rather than the agree or disagree button.
 * I’m rather new at this, please help, and please be kind. I’ve been googling and
   reading these forums for hours and the only thing I’m finding is how to remove
   pages from the navigation bar itself, which is what I don’t need.

 * Try [creating a custom page template](http://codex.wordpress.org/Pages#Creating_Your_Own_Page_Templates)
   that lacks the call to the menu, create a new “Home” page and apply this template
   to it. Then configure WordPress to use your new [static front page](http://codex.wordpress.org/Creating_a_Static_Front_Page).
