Tried removing Mantra footer, but doesn't seem as straightforward to do as it is w/ other themes. Copied and pasted code to notepad...re-pasted to wordpress and received parse syntax error. Anyone know how to fix this?

For future reference, does anyone know how to actually remove the footer "mantra powered by wordpress" footer text? It's not under footer.php as it is w/ other themes I've seen.

I know it is long and full of arguments, but this thread should help you solve your problem:

When I removed what it said to, it said parse syntax error some line missing.

That will require some level of php programming knowledge to resolve.

Common PHP errors are explained here:

And the official manual for PHP is here:

    jonradio,

Thanks for your extreme level of support. I finally figured it out after hours of deleting stuff and having to uninstall and reinstall wordpress since the ordinary copy and paste from notepad still yielded the parse syntax error. I really appreciate the offer for assistance, though!
