  • Hi, I’m making a website using WordPress, working great so far, but…

Whenever I write a post, it links directly into reading the post specifically.
I want the posts in my blog to be the last level. Meaning: When reading the mainpage, the only page, there should be no other levels.. The user shouldn’t be able to click him/herself deeper into the website. I want the posts to be listed on top of each other, and that’s it. No more. No linking.

I’ve searched the forums thoroughly, and couldn’t find an answer. Please help, thank you so much.

  • Guys?

Just remove the “permalink” anchor from around the post title.

    A) Don’t bump after an hour unless you want to be ignored by most volunteers. Many start by looking at the unanswered posts. Your impatience removed you from that list.

    B) I, personally, don’t understand your post. Levels? Huh? You want more posts on the front page? Options -> Reading, put in a bigger number I guess.

If that’s not it, maybe an example link to your page and another try at describing your goal.

I believe the poster is trying to get a flat front page without the links under the Posts titles.

Ah. Ok. Probably just me then, I was totally bemused/confused.

Yes, that is exactly what I’m looking for.
I just didn’t know how to describe it. Is the trick to remove the anchor link? Can I do that so it applies for all posts later on, so I don’t have to do it every time..

oh, and FYI HandySolo, I wasn’t trying to be rude, or impatient, but I had a very stressing deadline, that led me to react as I did. I’m sorry to bother you, (even though you seemed to take time to respond) but responses like yours keep newbies like me scared of ever requesting help again. I know nothing as it is, especially about the secret bumping codex..
