The only thing that requires jQuery on our front-page, is ‘gtm4wp-form-move-tracker’.

Loading in 87K extra javascript, to be able to run a 2K jsfile: gtm4wp-form-move-tracker.js

Could ju please rewrite that file in plain vanilla js?

    Hi,

I absolutely understand you concern and I wouldn’t load that big file either 🙂
Do you specifically need to keep turned on the plugin feature called “Form fill events”? If not, you just need to turn off the related checkbox in plugin settings and gtm4wp-form-move-tracker.js will not load.

I have plans to remove jQuery dependency in general but this will not happen anytime soon. If you need a vanilla version of this JS file, I can rewrite it for you but you will need to re-apply the patch next week when v1.11 is planned to be released as this version is now on code freeze.

Hi, same as puggan so I upvote the “would be nice to remove dependency one day”, in the meantime thanks Thomas for the answer I found the checkbox, it solves it for me since I don’t track form events (yet) 🙂
