# Remove “Inspred By” link

 * I am a newbie with WordPress. I have created a site. It looks okay. At the bottom
   of the 2 pages in my site are the words “Inspired By” followed by the name of
   a person whose video I watched when creating my site. This is a link to his site.
   How can I remove this link? I do not see it while editing the page. I’m sure 
   it’s something simple.

 * In case the theme doesn’t have an option to change the text you’ll have to edit
   the code manually inside the footer.php file. You can edit it from Appearance
   > Editor, but take note that you’ll need to change it again if the theme is updated,
   otherwise you could create a child theme so the changes won’t be overwritten.

   for exactly? Would it help if I posted the footer.php code?

 * Just search for the text ‘Inspired By’ with Ctrl+F and you’ll find it. If it’s
   not there it could be in another php file.

 * You mentioned an option to update the theme. It it had this, where would I find
   it?

 * The theme options are usually in Appearance > Theme Options, in a separation 
   section with the name of the theme or in Appearance > Customizer.
