Please can you remove !important from the CSS in your plugin? I want to customise the styling and this interfers with the process.

If you want to ensure your plugin’s CSS is better adhered to, just use a parent class or classes so it will work with most themes. You’ve already done this, so just taking out !important will do the trick.

    Thanks,

    Noah

@wpkube I wasn’t expecting this to be included in an update…

Perhaps you can add me as a contributor instead? My direct email is wordpress dash plugins at designextreme dot com.

Also, don’t forget the two other things: having a “None” or empty option for fonts, styles etc. and removing all the !important nastiness when the option is set. I still have a font forced into the tags despite me wanting to use my own theme’s CSS (with its own font) and similarly for the text-transform value.

    Hi @designextreme

I’ll pass that on to the owner. WPKube is the owner, I’m just an employee who handles the development and support.

Will test out the SVG approach for the next update and if it works out will switch over to use SVG approach instead of the image approach. Can’t say for sure when it would be, the to do list is quite large (a lot of plugins and themes).

    Thanks again.
