You may need to edit the header.php
Got to Appearance > Editor and select header.php from the long list on the right side.

No, don’t do that. You’ll lose your changes when the theme is updated.
If you want to edit the header.php
file then the safe way to do that is create and activate a child theme of this one.

Then copy the old header.php
into the new child theme directory and make those changes.
That all said… have you tried using the menu editor?

@darto: that was my first idea (using a child theme), but I have tried removing anything mentioning the word “Home” and it doesn’t do anything.
@jan: As far as I know, I don’t even have any Menus to begin with. I have even tried making a menu with nothing in it and that didn’t seem to work either. (Granted, I’m a noob so maybe I’m overlooking something?)
Not sure if I should do a second topic, but since it deals with the same area I figure I might as well ask here first:
How can I change the header background color? It is currently white and there is no appearance option to change it (changing the background color only affects everything between the header and footer).
See here for a visual. I’d like the white space to be the same color as the content/website color.
Thanks again!
