[resolved] Remove Headlines Display in Feed Import (5 posts)

    We love RSS multi-importer plugin!

    One thing we would like to do when importing a feed onto our website is to change the headline. As you can see on the link below, the number of characters in the headline is very short, which results in some funky nonsense headlines. So, we would like to remove the headline completely and not have it display on the website.

    http://www.matakanacountry.co.nz/markets-lodging-accommodations-auckland-coast-wine-country-hotels/2012/10/19/guest-photos-reviews-matakana-holiday-photos-reviews-from-matakana-country-lodge-guests/

    I realize the formatting of the headline is controlled by the exporter of the RSS feed. But how can we “exclude” the headline when importing the feed?

    Thanks in advance for your excellent and much appreciated support!

    Are the short headlines in the incoming feed? If so, why don't you give me the URL of the feed and I'll see if I can make a CSS entry that will eliminate the headline.

    Hi Allen!

    The feed is from Pinterest. Here’s the feed source...

    Can’t wait to see what you come up with!

    Thanks!

    Hi Barbara
    The easiest thing to do is change this CSS to include the text-indent line:

    div.reg_rss-output .title {
    font-size:1.3em;
    text-indent:-9999px;

    }

    That will take away the title on each post. Now, by doing this you'll add some space between each post, so you can change this by altering the css to this

    div.reg_rss-output {
    padding: .75em;
    float: left;
    }

    Remember, when you change the CSS, you want to save this file for any updates I have that will overwrite this file, so go to the templates panel in the admin section and hit save CSS.
