no kidding. i am totally stuck on this and i have spent the last two hours searching for an answer, but the code, as laid out below does fit me as i don’t seem to have this ‘page-id-xx’ classed in that specific page. odd.
.page-id-xx #footer-widgets { display:none; }
the class under the body tag was merely ‘published’ which boggles my mind. here’s the page i am talking about: http://mikeshouts.com/christmas-gift-ideas-2013/
any help will be greatly appreciated! 🙂 (and you would a man from losing his hairs too fast! ;P)

Have you instead considered using the is_page function http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/is_page ?

Hi Andrew. Actually no. I have not thought of touching the Php. Afraid i may mess it up like every other time 🙁
