  • I installed the dictionary tooltip Firefox extension. It shows a book-like icon on my wordpress site ( The icon appears in all the PC’s in my office network when my site is accessed. I removed the extension and now there is question-mark like image. The image property says: chrome://dictionarytip/skin/book.png.

How do i remove this? Even when I change my wordpress theme this file shows! The full path of the file is:
    <img id=”smallDivTip” style=”border: 1px solid blue; z-index: 90; opacity: 1; position: absolute; left: 258px; top: 115px;” src=”chrome://dictionarytip/skin/book.png” alt=”” /></p>

How can I delete this? This is annoying.

  • I suddenly have the same problem. Have you been able to find a fix yet?

Where did you try to install the dictionary tooltip Firefox extension? It is for Firefox not WordPress, and the place to look for remnants of it is on your own computer. Try searching your computer for the chrome folder.

I installed the tooltip in Firefox (the same manner you would any other extension). I have used the extension for a long time with no problems, but as lbhat stated, a broken image icon appears every few posts on my blog. If you right click the link and look at the properties, it directs to: http://dictionarytip/skin/book.png. It doesn’t make sense to me either that software installed locally would been an issue for WordPress, but the broken image show up on any computer I view the site from. Not sure what to do about it. I did uninstall Dictionary Tooltip, with negative results…
